What This Lesson Covers:
In this lesson, I have written out 10 pages of Tablature covering 36 Licks In The Key of A in Standard Open G Tuning (GBDGBD). Normally people need to use a Capo to play in the Key of A. However, in this lesson I show you how to use the open strings to your advantage! The Key of A with no Capo is great for playing Blues and the majority of these licks are Blues Licks. However, you can also use them for Bluegrass and even Western Swing. In this video I also talk about what scales and chord tones these licks are derived from.

A tricky area of the instrument, especially in the Key of D. I then cover some great "Movable" Licks, and then some more old school double and triple stop licks! I've included several great Mp3 Jam Tracks at Slow and Medium Tempos. Some of the tracks are 12 Bar Blues, one is an 8 Bar Blues, and one just sticks on the D chord. Great for Jamming!
