What this lesson covers:
36 Licks that you can use when playing slow songs in the Key of G, and they are great for use when playing backup as well. What This Lesson Covers:
This is PART 1 of a 2 part series called "39 Basic Backup Licks".  This lesson is designed for the Beginning to Beginning/Intermediate student.  In this lesson I show in great detail how to play each of the 39 Licks.  I start off with the most basic of the backup licks and the licks increase in difficulty as the lesson progresses.  The more intermediate level licks are toward the middle to end of the video.  I show close ups of the left hand and then close ups of the right hand.  I also spend time counting the rhythm of each lick and explaining what beat or part of the beat to start the lick, which is really important to playing it in rhythm.

*** Just so I'm clear, this video only shows how to play each lick, PART 2, which will be a different lesson, will show how to apply these licks to a song, and move them over different chords.  This is for the student that needs detailed description of exactly what I'm playing.
