What This Lesson Covers:
This is Volume #1 of a New Lesson Series on my site called, "Music Theory Essentials". In this volume I go over my Music Theory Handout that I made. To make the lesson more "User-Friendly" I break the lesson up into 4 smaller Video Tutorials.

In Video #1 "How To Make Scales" we are working in the Key of G and I teach you the foundation of where scales come from and how to take a Major Scale and, from it, make a Minor Scale, a Major Pentatonic, a Minor Pentatonic, and a Blues Scale.

In Video #2 "How To Make Chords" I go over how to take a Major Scale and create tons of chords from it including, Major, Minor, Diminished, Augmented, 6 chords, 6/9 chords, Sus4 and Sus2 chords, Major 7th, Minor 7th, Minor 7th Flat 5 Chords....etc.

In Video #3 - "How To Think and Hear Numbers" I go over how to think of Chords and Scales in terms of Numbers, that allows you to more easily play in other keys.

Finally, in Video #4 - "What To Memorize & Practice", I go over some of the essential things about music theory and your instrument that you should start trying to Memorize and Practice.

This lesson is great one to get your feet wet into understanding some of the Fundamentals of Music Theory, which will add to your overall knowledge and understanding of Music in general.

Thanks! Enjoy this lesson!
